Even if you’re traveling the road less traveled （走自己的路）without heros you may be as lost in the ocean of life as an ancient mariner who can’t see the constant position of the stars in the sky. When blazing a new trail, it’s all the more important to have a compass as there’s no road ahead, only the trail you blaze.
This month, I’ve got a special treat – another Hero is coming out of the woodwork. A hero in the sense that Luke Skywalker was a hero. A soldier. A man who went to a place no-one else wanted to be and stayed behind after all the outsiders had gone. He choose to go because he thought it provided his quickest return trip home, and choose to stay because he could help. He was rewarded with solitary confinement and interrogation. And then he said that it was a poem that saved him.
He drew a circle that shut me out
Heretic, rebel, a thing to flout
But love and I had the wit to win;
We drew a circle that took him in.
